چکیده
An active isolator achieving both high isolation and low insertion loss at 2.45 GHz is proposed. The based on an asymmetric coupler designed to leverage the gain reverse of amplifier coupling coefficients between input output coupler. are enhanced by using coefficients, power level with optimal can be determined for a target specification. increases handling capability proposed that has coefficient achieves highly efficient coefficient. Electromagnetic-circuit co-simulation results show operation stability ≥40 dB <1 0−8 dBm.

Terahertz-bandwidth photonic temporal differentiator based on a silicon-on-isolator directional coupler.
We experimentally demonstrate a terahertz-bandwidth photonic differentiator employing a silicon-on-insulator directional coupler. The integrated waveguide coupler with two identical paralleled strip waveguides achieves a first-order differentiator when full energy coupling is met from one waveguide to another. The integrated waveguide coupler can offer different operation bandwidths by changing...
متن کاملThe Asymmetric Active Coupler: Stable Nonlinear Supermodes and Directed Transport
We consider the asymmetric active coupler (AAC) consisting of two coupled dissimilar waveguides with gain and loss. We show that under generic conditions, not restricted by parity-time symmetry, there exist finite-power, constant-intensity nonlinear supermodes (NS), resulting from the balance between gain, loss, nonlinearity, coupling and dissimilarity. The system is shown to possess non-recipr...
متن کاملA New Semi-Active/Passive Isolator
This paper presents a novel semi-active Variable Stiffness and Damping Isolator (VSDI) for vibration mitigation of structures. The proposed VSDI system consists of a traditional steel-rubber vibration absorber, as the passive fail-safe element, and a magneto-rheological elastomer (MRE) with a controllable (or variable) stiffness and damping behavior, as the passive-active element. MRE is a type...
